Received a call from this number, guy with an accent as if from India said that he was from Windows support and that I was having problems with my computer and if I did not solve it soon I was at risk of losing all the data on my computer, I played along, first he transfered me to a "supervisor" and it got to a point where he asked me to give them remote access, when I declined he tried to put some pressure on me and when I told him no way he hung up. Wanted me to connect to www.ammyy.com.
Phone ID says call from Ottertail MN. Man with an Indian accent says he is from Windows support and there is a problem with my computer. I believe this is the same person who has called me at least twice before, so instead of hanging up like I did previously, I decided to play along to see what he is up to. He tells me I have to log on to my computer, I say well how do I know you're not some sort of scam, and he laughs and says oh no, mam, this is Windows technical support, ha ha ha. He then asks me start typing in things on my computer and I ask him if he is going to take control of my computer from his end and he says yes, but it's perfectly fine. Of course I never turned my computer on, and he asked me some questions about what was on my screen, and when I didn't answer to his liking he suddenly hung up.
Indian accent, claiming he was from Windows technical support. He got my name from when I bought my computer and registered it. There's a lot of unwanted things on my computer. I have antivirus so I don't understand that, to which he replied oh no, it's not a virus. Same as others, he asked if my computer was on and would I go sit in front of it. I told him I couldn't get there because I'm on crutches (true). He asked when I'll be able to so he could call back and I said next week.
Female with heavy Asian accent, warning me that there were problems with my computer.
Had the earmarks of a phishing call, I just told her that she knew she was running a scam
and to take my phone number off the list. Displayed Minnesota
