I called this number, the robo-greeter they use, gave me the standard garbage they always do, then added the phrase "govern yourself accordingly".
(They also call from: 501-507-0888 & 720-446-059)
That phrase is a signature; a flashing red light, if you will, of a group of scammers than have been calling people for years, trying to collect on phony or very questionable debts..
I checked that phrase out on the 800notes home page:
Here's a list of CIDs they've used over the past 4 years or so according to 800notes useing the "govern" phrase they love so much :

If they call you, demand a debt validation letter be send to you by US Mail. E-mail no good. They don't do this, then simply ignore the calls and block them.
Received a call, recorded msg said that it was a personal matter from Investigator Marshal they needed to speak to me or attorney representative. I don't have any outstanding bills, I hung up didn't bother. Another scam to suck money out of consumers.
Received a call. They stated it was an urgent matter and I or my attorney should be present. They said (on a machine) that it involved my name and my social. I do currently have a matter I am trying to clear up with IRS, and thought maybe it was them, but they didn't identify themselves. I remained on hold for 15 minutes, and when I could, looked up the number. It appears to be a scam.
Received a call (they also called my 80 yr old MIL and my best friend who lives out-of-state) and were very rude. Surprise, my caller was a woman 'Leslie Watson' from Litigation dept of Capital Funding a parent company to many, many companies. She had some facts, but this was a debt from 2011...why are they just contacting me?? She says they have been sending letters (NOT) and now are charging me with a felony/fraud for not paying back a loan. I called the local courthouse and they said do NOT PAY JUST ANYONE that calls. I was also told by Ms. Watson that "this" company does not report to any credit bureau...which is very strange.
They called a few minutes ago about a payday loan that was included in my bankruptcy. Tried to tell me that it was a criminal matter and not a civil. I don't think she appreciated my laughing every time she threatened me. :)
