Caller was extremely pleasant male, said my Discover Magazine subscription was up for renewal. I challenged. He said check your label for the subscription date. I said what's my account #? He said check my label. I said, No I have my magazine in hand, you should have the account #, what is it? He hung up.
Contacted Discover Magazine, their response: We apologize for the phone call that you received. We believe the call was made by a subscription agency as we never make outbound calls. We take these complaints very seriously and we do not condone any company making calls under false pretenses.
