This is a "boiling room" of scam artists that are "spoofing" their actual number. The uninvited illegal robo call spoofing or otherwise seemingly comes from (219) 203-3210, when it is actually originating from somewhere else. They (many different names such as Ryan, George, Barb, Steve, Amanda etc. - all fake names, I'm sure). When asked where they are located, one scam artist said Southern California. Many times (after calling back), they identified themselves as several different companies....National Student Aid Corporation....Student Loan Forgiveness....etc., etc. Asked to speak with their manager, (yeah, right! No manager is on duty, right?) Told one of them I'm on the National and State Do Not Call List, and that I was reporting them (they laughed, of course). This is as illegal as it gets, robo calls, messages, etc., but of course the laws have to be enforced! Keep your money in your pocket and off of the phone. Any valid entity would have abided by the law in the first place, and would have never initiated a call to anyone who was on the DO NOT CALL list -Federal, or state. But kept them busy enough to keep them from scamming someone else, I guess. I don't have any student loans, but if someone else does, please reach out to an actual government agency (obtained from your States actual websites), and initiate the call, yourself to an actual government agency and phone number, to work out a REAL STUDENT LOAN, forgiveness program. These scam artists will just get another #, after they take your money, cause they do not exist, to begin with!........I know and wish that they have already been reserved a Very Special Place in **** .....you all know where!
A male voice left the following message: "You have been preapproved for student loan forgiveness. Please call (949) 201-2330. Again, that's (949) 201-2330. Thank you." The 949 area code number has been identified as a scam.
