Received a call. No one was on the line after my answer.

This number calls and if I pick up all I can hear is a beep.  Nothing else.

Same here!

Got a call from this number while I was out.  No message left.  Caller ID said SSI.  Never heard of it.

Have been getting these calls, too. Caller does not wait for the answering machine to pick up.  Phone will ring 1 to 5 times.  Sounds like robocalls to me.  SSI could refer to Survey Sampling International.
