I'm sure someone else can give you good advice on generally protecting your private info, but I wouldn't be too worried if that's all you gave this scumbag. They're looking for fish, if you don't bite, they generally move on.
Hindsight is always 20-20. Situations like this show why having a several disposable e-mail addresses is a good idea. You use those (in unknown situations) instead of you main e-mail address. So when you get spammed you can just delete it. Check with your e-mail provider.
I received a text message from 219-213-6960. Wanted to buy a item I had listed on Craigslist. Wanted to know if anything wrong that they should be aware of. I exclaimed and told them that this was a good price. She than wanted to know if I had a paypal account so she could send payment. I said yes my husband and I both have accounts. She than wanted to get a hauler to pick the item up. So she wanted my e-mail address and my name on my paypal account. I didn't give it to her. I told her we could probably save her some money if she would just tell me where she lived we could deliver it. After all we have to go there to get the key for it and we could just deliver it to her. I have not heard anymore from her.
