They asked for the person that handles the Nipsco bill. Said he wasnt here. Said they would call back. Called Nipsco direct and they said they had nothing in their system for a reason to call me. Caller ID had this number and Crown Point In as the name. Since I'm on the do not call list and they aren't Nipsco I will report them if they call again after trying to get more information out of them. Probably a company trying to slam accounts to a natural gas reseller at a huge increase, since they don't put their name on the ID.
First, the guy has a coughing fit into the phone after I say, "Hello?", & then he starts talking really quickly, asking for the person who pays the Nipsco bill. When I said that person wasn't home, he was like, "oh, it's okay, I can talk to you", & tried to pressure me into agreeing to some fixed percentage on our bill. He wouldn't let up, & finally I just told him to get lost. The caller id just shows the phone # twice, & does not show a company name or indicate Nipsco in any way. I call bs, & don't give these people any of your info.
A lady asked to speak with the person who handles the nipsco or gas bill. I told them "I don't know" and I hung up, knew it wasn't a legitamate call. I warned my dad about the call. Please just hang up on them don't give them any information.
