far as I know all of Indiana switched to area code 260 from 219 years ago. I think that was around 2000 they switch area code numbers. I just recieved a call from this number as well it only rang once then hung up.
Wrong. Indiana divided the Northern region of the state into 3 area codes. The western region kept 219. The north central region got 517 ( I believe). The north eastern region got 260.
No clue who called me from this number as I don't answer calls from strangers and they didn't leave a message.
Wrong again. 219 got split and currently exists in the northwestern part of the state (Gary, Valpo, etc). North Central got 574, and northeastern got 260 which also extends to the southern part of north-central Indiana (starting around Silver Lake, IN).
