This call comes from the Indiana Police Protection Fund. They ask for donations for the "widows and orphans of slain or fallen police officers" throughout the state. They are relentless in trying to get as much of a donation from you, starting with $50 on down to as little as $5 a month. I donated to them years ago until I asked for their 501C filing which outlines exactly how much money goes toward administrative expenses and how much actually went to the widows and orphans. I found out that less than 25% went to the families of slain officers and then stopped donating altogether.
