I got a call from this number, and I didn't get to it in time, but when I called back they said they were looking for (my name). So to me, this means they have caller ID and knew the number that they just called had called back. The guy gave me his name (which I did not know), but did NOT give the company he represented. He would not say who he represented until I confirmed that I was the person he was looking for. Well, I am sorry, but I WILL NOT tell a perfect stranger anything if they are not willing to identify themselves. When I get this type of call, I would rather lie and say that they have the wrong number, or that I am not the person they are looking for than to expose myself to God knows who. I will be honest if they are honest and straightforward. All they have to do is say who they are, what company they represent, and what they want.

I received a call that I had missed in the middle of the day from 219-697-3119, no message left either. For some reason, I periodically get a call from this area code and have no idea why, I do not know of anyone from where the call is coming from.
This is a debt collector (or so he claims) He will demand you Soc Sec # (don't give it to him) and Date of Birth, just to speak to you. He will not mail proof a debt when you ask for it, but will continue making ILLEGAL calls to your employer. report him at http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
