I got a craigslist scammer with a 224 area code trying to send me a cashiers check while trying to arrange for furniture pick up. If this is a Chicago area code, I live in FL. I could tell immediately bc this has happened to me before and I recognized the very poor use of the English language, that is your first tip. They end up getting VERY angry when you call them out on their b.s.
