This number belongs to a debt collector Dynia & Assoc. They called my work place first and got my first name right but gave me someone else's last name. They bought a debt from Citifinancial from many, many years ago. The man's name is Sal, he told the receptionist at my work that he was a friend of mine and I would want to talk to him even though I was at work.
I advised him to stop calling my work.
He called my cell phone this morning and wanted me to give him my birthday and SS#. I advised him I don't give that information out. He stated he already had it, so I asked him why he would need it from me if he already had access to it. He then said that I was being uncoopertive so he was going to hang up. Really? That just broke my heart. Bye, bye now.
Received a call from 224-387-5702 - some sort of debt collector. The recorded message said to push "9" to speak to a representative. I was shortly disconnected. I called the number back and received some more recorded messages and the claim that they are debt collectors. I finally got to speak with someone and told them they are calling the wrong party. The person they want is no longer associated with this number. Then, I tried to explain that debt collectors, by law, are required to provide a 1-800 number for all debtor calls. He proceeded to hang up on me.
They have called every day since I got this phone number in July. They are associated with an attorney's office - they should know how to obey the law. I believe they are associated with Dynia & Associates, LLC in Arlington Heights, IL. That's what the person said when they answered the phone.
