got a text from here this number to win a bestbuy 1000$ gift card

recieved a text from 224-500-2163 that I received $1,000 gift card from Best Buynd to enter code 8228. I think it's a hoax.

On Dec. 10, i received a text saying I won a $1000 Best Buy gift card. Same code as above, 8228 to enter at website. I didn't go to the website.

I contacted Best Buy via email about this and the here is a quote from their response, "unfortunately the text message that you received is not a legitimate promotion offered by Best Buy. We do not recommend that you participate by providing any personal information."
