These people keep calling but never leave a message. Nor have we received any written communication. In the last few weeks these numbers have called. wireless caller 224-545-5813 and no info shown except unknown name - 312-492-4309 , Illinois - 312-470-6679, illinois 773-598-5719, 716-990-6232, illinois 312-470-6696, toll free 1-800-531-5000, illinois 312-470-6656, unknown name 224-374-1360, antioch illinois 847-603-4524.
I have called to find how who they are and the name of the business said is not intellgible - muffled- but sounds like Danania & assoc - something like that (I am just guessing at the spelling) and if they go on to say by continuing to listen you are agreeing to talk to them and that their business in part deals with debt collection blah blah. Now this could just be a scam to get say credit card information - I found no such sounding company licensed in Illinois so it seems they are either not licensed located in Illinois or are somewhere else and making calls seems like they are coming from Illinois. We have no outstanding debts. Zilch, nada I called one number, listed to their introductory message and got a customer service person. I told them I don’t know who they are, they never leave a message, we have received no communication from them, we are on the do not call list, I am not agreeing to have any communication with them, and to stop calling us, and all of these numbers are being reported to the federal do not call list for violating the do not call law, and reporting them for violating the fair debt collection practices law. The woman I talked to was rude and wouldn’t say who the business is. Although they do not warrant a call back, You may want to call and talk to a customer service and do as I do and say the same. Then Report them for violating the debt collection practices law. I have also filed a complaint with Illinois agency that oversees this type of business. And also am going to file a police report about these harrassing phone calls. And call our Arizona Attorney generals office. I would suggest everyone getting calls from these numbers do the same.
And if you haven't put your name on the do not call list, do so right away. All numbers including cell numbers opt out of all credit card company info sharing with non required 3rd parties.
They have been calling my cell for months asking for Chelsea Megan or such. Today same recording but asking for Tobias Cole. It is a collection agency.
This appears to be a collection agency. Someone from there called asking if I knew someone and to pass on the message. I just hung up because I don't want to get in the middle of things.
This company continualy call my 91 year old mother that lives alone. Sometimes its a man or woman or silence & they have my mother scared. I answered her phone today & warned them as to my mothers age. They kept talking. I told her she has been warned. My mother lives alone & i visit often im nearby but i want these preditors to stop now !!!!!
You should file reports on them.. FBI, State Attorney Generals office, FTC,FCC etc. Do not give them any info though at all. They have to prove you owe debt and they need to provide it in writing, not email, phone or fax. Lots of laws being broken here by some pretty shady so called debt collections if you read through the threads here.
You might want to consider getting one of the phone blocking devices for her phone also.
