Yup...got a call from this number yesterday morning before 9 a.m. Woke my husband up who works at night...kind of pissed. Tried calling the number back and, of course, it's temporary unavailable...A$$HOLE!!! Any phone number I don't recognize or if it says "private caller" I let the answering machine pick up...
Because they are in fact [***]. The have no respect or regard for any list, much less for the DNC.
Since the DNC does not mechanically block calls, it depends on the honor of the caller. Obviously these turds have none.
I received a call from this number and got a man on the other end of the line asking for my spouse by name. When I said she was not home, he hung up. Creep. I get all kinds of calls with no one on the other end of the line...sometime 4-5 a day. They come in waves from various area codes.
Called @ 7:17 P.M. CT on September 4, 2014. My mother picked up the phone and was greeted with dead silence for a good ten seconds or so before she decided to hang up on the creep.
Do yourselves a favor, everyone: If you receive a call from this number, BLOCK IT. They don't deserve your attention, lest you plan on turning them in to the FTC. If they're nearly as legit an organization as they claim to be, they wouldn't be pulling stunts like this.
