Called 5/10/2017 at 5:15PM. Caller ID said Hoffman Estates. Thinking it was an emergency call we picked it up. It was a recording that started by saying if we had not missed a payment from our Com Ed bill....We then promptly hung up. Clearly another scam to mislead people into switching over to another electric company.
Received a call from 224-701-3019 at 12:18 PM on 4/21/17, shown on CID as: "Lake Villa IL". Call was picked up by our answering machine, but no message was left. Definitely a SCAM call, since legitimate callers would leave a message and a call back number; plus, the ENTIRE town of Lake Villa, IL wouldn't be calling!
Called 4/29/2017 at 1PM. Caller ID said Hoffman Estates. I let the machine get it. They left a message saying that if we have not missed paying our Com Ed electric bill in the last six months we qualify for a 15% discount on our electric bill and to please press "1" to get more information. I'm pretty sure it was some electric company trying to get us to switch over to their company.
