I've received a number of calls from this number, all of which were immediately followed by a second call from another number which, under various guises, is associated with a company called "egumball".
They are scum-bag telemarketers looking to sell you crap services which you would never seek out on your own...and particularly over the telephone, no less.
I strongly suspect that the first number is a "Bot" searching for valid, in-use phones within a certain area. When it finds one, it then reports to another "Bot" which calls the number and, if you answer AND a telemarketing scumbag isn't busy trying to con someone else, said scumbag will hop onto the line and try to scam you.
If all the little telemarketing scumbags are busy, then the bot hangs up on you and tries again later. And on it goes.....
The telemarketing industry is supposed to police itself!!!!!! Buuuuwaaaaahahaha! Is that hilarious or what?
This crap will not stop until Congress finally takes action and rids the American People of this scourge once and for all.
