Recieved a text saying "good morning" when it was the early evening. He indicated he was hearing impaired and wanted to take firearms classes. Googled the number since I found it odd. Seems it is a scam and he pulled all the instructor numbers from the state directory.

impaired hearing i will like to know if you render Firearm Training services and if you accept credit card for payments?
Me: I do.
Him: I want to make an appointment for Firearm training and i want concealed handgun class for them for my family.I want you to get back to me for 4 people 1(male) aged (21)and 3(female) aged (22 and 25 and 27) for 2 weeks 3hr daily 2 times a week, they will be coming with a private transportation driver for the service,I will be expecting your reply with the total cost and your full name,address and direction for the private transport to locate your place when they are coming for the service
Me: Do they have firearms to bring with them or will they be using mine? For 4 people, 3 hours of training, twice a week for 2 weeks the cost will be $600. Breakdown of cost is $75 per student for 2 hours of training (we can train for 3 hours, however, I'm only charging for 2).Will this work for you?
Him: Sounds Great,am okay with the total cost before i will send you my CC info for the charges i will need a little favor from you regarding the driver bringing my families to your training center The favor is that I have not pay the driver that will bring everyone of them to your training center and I can't do that my self because I am presently receiving my hearing treatment at the hospital and am going to have surgery soon, So the driver dont have access to credit card facilities,will like you to include extra $1,200 plus the total cost of the service so that you can have all the charges on my credit card and when the funds hit your account you will cash out the $1,200 charges fee on the driver fee,so go ahead and add everything up and let me have the total cost so that we can proceed to the payment immediately then u re going to deposit the money into the drivers banks acct and i am giving $100 as tip fro ur stress remember to add the credit card processing % i need u to do this for me due to my physical disability hope u understand ??
Me: How about you don't pay the driver and I come pick up your family for training for free.
Him: Yes that will be fine but the driver need to be paid cuz his getting me stuff my oldest daughter is getting married and shes one of the students coming for the training plz i need u to do this for me
Believe attempted fraud. Claims to be hearing impaired wanting to take my concealed carry class, then wants me pay total for class for his family and limo bdriver to bring them to class. Sounds like a spin off of an old fraud scam.
