I have also been receiving calls from this number looking for a "Melinda _ _ _ _ _ _." The automated message also refers to the company as "Houston Financial Services." When I called the number back, a woman answered the phone and said, "This is Jessica." She didn't even state what company she was with. I proceeded to ask her if I was speaking with someone at Houston Financial Services. She said, "Yeah...Halsted", and spelled it out as HALSTED. I said, "Well you all have been calling my number looking for a Melinda _ _ _ _ _ _, but she doesn't have this phone number anymore." She said, "Well is the last 4 digits of your phone number _ _ _ _? " I said, "Yes?" (Which now all of this was sounding suspicious to me by now because she never verified the name of "Melinda _ _ _ _ _ _" nor the whole phone number) She then says, "Well...no one will be calling your number anymore." I have a suspicion that these VoIP callers are using 800 numbers and area code dot org to keep their same numbers, but are just changing the area codes. Especially this Melinda _ _ _ _ _ _ . She somehow has a kid at a nearby elementary school, is a guardian of another in Ohio, has another child that has braces, and also owes money the utilitie's company here, and Sprint in Nebraska, but never supposedly ever lived there. If your are getting any other strange calls that show up on your phone, but not your call detail history with your phone carrier, look them up on "Backpage dot com" they're running an escort service and don't want blocked calls. I have verified this through my caller ID to my house phone that I since then have had to disconnect just because of so many of these unwanted calls. They're using an 800 number as the switch board to transfer the voice calls. I've had to go into my account and block several of these numbers.
Next time they call or you talk to them tell them you have this number and proof of all their calls and harrassment and you are turning it over th bbb and local authorities they will stop
find out her address and give it to them if you can find a phone number give it to them too or business number tell them this is the information for her and stop bugging you or you will sue them for harrassment. make sure you write down dates times they call you and give it to a lawyer and tell them to contact them about being harrassed
These [***] just keep calling over and over to our business number. I explained that we were a business and they needed to call, the person they were asking for, directly. The guy started demanding to know *my* info. I just blocked their calls from all numbers (I believe they have 3), I am going to have to start reading up on the laws about these collection methods and just start suing [***] like this when they waste my time with their pissy little harassment. I would prefer to punch the sniveling little prick in the head though.
