Same thing, asking for money for the Louisiana police Association. Its likely a scam or... Well you know the same guys saying dont you ever give money to someone cold calling you if you don't know who it is for sure... Now they think it is a good idea to do just that after all the money collected is for them an sure the mailed envelope fixes any authenticity issues.
With all the police shootings and kilings going on lately I thing what many of them need is to find a better job rather than be worrying about where they gonna get the money for legal defense if they kill the wrong kid.
6 miss calls from this number last Friday 8/7/2015 but did not leave any message. I made a mistake by donate $20 last year for this Union and now I get all kind of annoying calls from breast cancer, childrens hospital, food donation, veterans...
I'm in this area code (Baton Rouge) and so I answered. No one on the line for a few seconds, so I hung up. Although I support law enforcement groups such as the police, I don't give to phone solicitors because there is absolutely no guarantee that any of the funds actually reach them after "solicitation costs" are deducted from the gullible's donation. They are NOT non-profit org.
