They call me all the time. Most of the time it goes to my machine.
I don't give out my landline number (heck, I can't remember the number!). Only 2 people have that number. I use my landline to forward my business calls home. If it was a forwarded call, the caller ID would show my work numbers so I know it's not a forwarded call. They call and as by my first name but it's actually a human recording that sounds like a person -- then the call hangs up.
The best guess I can come up with is that this information was obtained by phone records or something because as I said, I don't give this number out (because I can't remember the number) and I've only had the landline for a couple of months and they started calling shortly after me obtaining the landline.
I guess I need to go to the DNC registry. Didn't think that would be an issue since I DON'T GIVE MY NUMBER OUT. Had this been my cell phone -- it would be a different story
We get calls from this number and let the answering machine. All they say is husband's first name and hang-up. We received a call shortly afterwards with the caller ID displaying husband's name and our home number.
The number calls here a couple of times a week and caller ID shows "Out of Area". I've never answered and when it goes to voicemail, the call disconnects.
