I received this text message as well, but it told me to call a 706 phone number. My question would be why use a different number than a 1-800 number when you text? See, half a**! If you can't be fully comitted, don't do it. This was suppose to be a good scam. Ain't nuthin smooth bout dis! And GOD don't like ugly!!!
How bout that! I was checking out the links that came up when I was looking up 229-352-2049 number with the same information on the text as above. The thing is, it's from a disconnected VERIZON number but it wants me to call a Florida number (I guess 706). Thing is how in the world do you send a text from a disconnected number? This is stupid and half-a**ed. Seek for higher understanding of everything, because this sounds like someone on the slow wheel. And you never know who you're texting, might be a Cop.
I just got a text from the same number only it said to call 334-539-1467. I did call the number just to see what it was. It asks for your 16 digit card number I do not know what else because I hung up. I also called the 229-352-2049 and it said that the number I dialed was a verizon number and had been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service.
I just got a text from the same number and was told to call 334-539-1467. I keyed in 1234567891234567 and it immediately hung up. So sick up these dumb people that have nothing else to do but try to scam folks. Obviously they don't know....all my cards are in bankruptcy....can't deactivat something that is not working. Fools!
