Called my cell, claimed to be consumer services. Turns out to be one of those low interest rate credit card scams. I played along and gave plausible information. The guy eventually figured out I was messing with him and began to swear at me.
Got a recorded message regarding lowering my interest rate on my credit card. When I pushed 1 to speak with a representative I asked what card this was in reference too. He refused to tell me and asked if I requested. I asked again what card he was referring too and he called me a [***].
Just received a call from this number. Left no voicemail. Called the number back, got an automated message stating repeatedly that my call did not go through. Did a reverse lookup and it shows that the number is a personal mobile phone. Has scam written all over it.
Just got a call to lower interest rates...told me for a Visa/Mastercard but would not specify company and wanted me to verify my account! I DO NOT TRUST THEM and hung up!
