Caller said he was from some kind of security company that wanted to place a couple of signs in the yard to draw awareness for a crime free zone. They hung up after I told them I lived in an apartment complex.
I received a call from this number. He said he was from GE Security Company and wanted to place a sign in my yard to promote the alarm system. He said in exchange for that i would receive a free two-way radio security monitor and free installation. I told him i had a security system so he slammed the phone down in my ear. I thought it was fishy because the # showed up on the caller ID, but it said *name not found*. Any reputable business would not hide their name. In my opinion, this is a scam to see if people have a security system b4 they attempt to burgularize you. Be aware of these type of calls.
