Picked up the call since it's local to me. I knew something was up when she said she was calling because I was a finalist with a publisher's drawing but never gave the name of a company. I verified my name and then she said the drawing was for people who use Discover, Visa, or Mastercard and "which one do you use the most?". I replied "I don't". She was confused. (LOL!!) She asked me to repeat what I said so I did. She then said, "Have a great day" and hung up. I guess she was expecting me to give her my credit card information for a drawing I DIDN'T sign up for. NOT HAPPENING !!!
I answered. The caller said, "Kathleen?" I replied, "yeah", then she hung up. I tried to call the number back from a land line and my cell and it doesn't even ring.
this is a scam they have called me twice from different numbers the other number was labeled alexandria ky 859-592-3202 they tell you that you are entered into a million dollar prize drawing and attempt to sign you up for magazine subcriptions asking for your card number. if you tell them you are not interested they get incredibly rude and when you try to tell them to stop calling you they refuse to listen and hang up
I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number. Called my cell twice today. First time they just hung up when they got my voicemail. The second a voicemail was left "Hi (pause) Melanie? (Pause) This is Ashley" then hung up. The tone of voice used was like it was suppose to be someone I knew. I know ONE Ashley and she's a small child.
They have called my house a lot the last couple days finally picked up phone and they said I entered a drawing online and wanted to verify my info I told them I don't give out personal info over the phone and hung up so maybe they will quit calling
