This is straight from the home page of the National Do Not Call Registry: "The Do-Not-Call registry does not prevent all unwanted calls. It does not cove: calls from organizations with which you have established a business relationship; calls for which you have given prior written permission; calls which are not commercial or do not include unsolicited advertisements; calls by or on behalf of tax-exempt non-profit organizations"
That is the number to the Birmingham Museum Of Art. As a tax-exempt or non-profit entity, they can call you for fund raising even if you are on the National Do Not Call Registry. Taking it to the Attorney General's Office won't do a thing. You have to call the Musem and complain and they will stop. If they don't then you have to send a certified letter telling them to stop and then if they still call after that you might get some action from the Attorney General.
Receiving calls from Birm Mus Of Art, caller ID number: 231-732-2088 at least once a day. Times: 20:37, 14:38, 20:07,20:25, etc. Caller never leaves a message. Also receiving calls from PMI, Triangle, 800 Service, and List A. The National Do Not Call Registry is not working!

Birm Mus Of Art is Birmingham Museum Of Art. They probably are calling for fund raising--selling memberships or something like that. People making calls from this type of place are usually instructed not to leave a message. If you call the museum to complain they will make the fund raisers quit calling your number.

This is obviously a phone solicitation, which we get several times a week - same number. The one time I did answer a few days back, I asked the idiot (er, I mean, caller) to remove my name off of their "To Call" list. She replied: "We don't have a "No Call" list and hung up. I don't even know what they were selling or collecting money for, I stopped her before she got to that part.
