I've been getting phone calls from 4 different Michigan numbers over the past month and all are Lucre as well. Just shows up long distance though, no name. Answered one last night (519 area code) just for the heck of it and it started to ring after I said hello. Had to be a telemarketer.
Recieved a phone call from (231) 732-2153. Have recieved many calls from this phone number. Have used code *69 to verify the last call recieved records. Did reverse directory search on White Pages. Shows phone number is a land line, phone carrier provider is Lucre according to their records. Shows location to be Morley, Mich., County Mecosta. For extra money the White Pages serch will provide Name and Address info. Have not spent the money for that. Will call the Mecosta County court house. They know the business contact info since they pay taxes in that county. Also will call the city of Morley, MI. for business lic.info.
Google maps shows location to be appx. Cass St. between 4th and 3rd. I did talk to the company rep that answered the call from me. They say they are a company called Automotive Warrenty Service Company or Companies, and they use a call center to generate their call leads. I have asked to be removed from their list, many times, to no avail. I may be wrong but I believe that it is a $15,000.00 per call fine if they call you once you have put your phone mumbers on the "national no call list". Will post more after I call the city and county. They call my phone 3 0r 4 times per week. Maybe we all should be calling the city or county they operate in and maybe the officials there will see a real need to look into this group further...just a thought. If i can find the exact address, will call the county and find the taxpayer info. Also the business lic number info. I do not want to spend too much time or expense but i do get tired of this constant interruption. FYI, when you do a *69 code on your own phone, you have a real record of the calls from the phone company if you ever need this documentation for later. Most phone companies do charge a small fee for this service. Hope this info helps everyone. When I learn more will post it here. As promised, I have been doing some general look-ups about phone carrier provider Lucre, Inc., (Mich.) Seems that they happen to have several telemarketing complaints filed against them for certain "clients" of theirs using block lots of phone numbers. Telemarketers ranging from pitches for Sat TV installs, auto warranty services, political calls, and the list seems to be as long as it is varied. I found a website that goes into much detail, here's the URL www.clandarkstar.com. Also, you can do a Google search for "Lucre and telemarking complaints...believe me, there are plenty of them. I do not know what level of control they have over their "clients" but there would seemingly be enough info and complaints that deniability has gone out the window. Oh well, forgive my spelling, I'm "so past that now" and I'm sleepy...have research most of the night...eyes are closing. Read from the website and conclude for youself. True or not it makes for interesting reading. As for me, based on what I have learned so far...I think I will contact the US Marshall's Office with this info if I recieve more calls linking back to Lucre, Inc., as the phone provider source.
Received a call from 517-933-2009 inquiring about my Visa Card on Black Friday. Did not give any information. In fact, I hung up and did an internet search. Call came from Coldwater, MI. Phone provider was Lucre. I immediately phoned my bank to report the fraudently call.
