I AM A SKIPTRACER BY CAREER. I GET A RANDOM TEXT TODAY SAYING, HELLO THEN USED MY REAL FIRST NAME U THERE? HAVEN'T HEARD FROM U IN A WHILE. SO NOT KNOWING THE AREA CODE RIGHT OFF THE BAT, I KNEW SOMETHING WAS FISHY..SO I SKIPTRACED THE NUMBER FIRST AND FOUND IT WAS FROM MASSACHUSSETTS, I DON'T KNOW ANYONE FROM MASSACHUSSETTS, SO I *67 MY PHONE LINE AND CALLED THE NUMBER. IT SAYS ITS A TEXT PLUS.COM NUMBER. AND WHEN I REVEARSED THE NUM ON 411.COM IT JUST SAYS THAT IT IS A LANDLINE. SO I TEXT THE NUMBER BACK AND SAID , "SORRY YOU MUST HAVE A WRONG NUMBER"...AND I GOT NO RESPONSE, SO I AM CERTAIN THAT ITS SOME KIND OF NEW SCAM....BEWARE!!!
I received a text this morning with a hi marguerite u there? haven't heard from u in a while. I texted back who is this? then, lol if you wanna know who this is u got to add me on y!msnger. my id is dasyajur335. I said NOPE. hey my cell is about to die. just talk to me on Y! have not and will not do that. So how can you check that ID without giving away anything? Just asking.
I got the same message fromt his number this morning using my real first name then i told them that i do not use yahoo messenger and i am not willing to play games with somebody who will not say who they are, so they then told me that their phone battery was about to die and if I wanted to know who it was to add them on yahoo, the username was different though...
Watch out, this is a scam. If you reply to this heart-warming message, you confirm that the name (and the other data on you they have) plus the cell number match. That's what they want before they flood you with targeted ads. Do not write anything back! Even better - block that number!
