I got a call from this number. Never a message. I called it back and said they were closed or helping other patrons. No business name on the recording. Call originated from Akron Oh. Received another call from 440-332-4091 and called it back and it was the same exact recording and voice as the Akron call but this one is from Burton OH. Still have no idea who it is
Be honest with yourself; reporting it to the DNC folks won't do anything either. I've reported literally hundreds over the years and never heard of anyone actually shut down. Some are actually off-shore and spoof numbers. This particular type of call is a gray area - a scam in reality that puts most of the "donation" in the caller's pocket and a very small percent to a NFPO that uses it all for "overhead." It's all dressed up like a charitable request which, along with political calls and surveys, is a legal cold call. At least if they post it here, others can quickly find out who is calling!
Got a call from this number. Called back "Your call is very important to us, we are closed at this time". Did not leave their company number on their recording.
Ohio Troopers Coalition...automated call that kept cutting in and out. I would advise all of you to ascertain from your local Ohio State Patrol Post if indeed their union has authorized this group to do donation calls prior to making one and if they endorse the use of this group as well as what the percentage is that the officers receive, is it really for the officers in the State of Ohio and what the administrative cost is for this group before you make your choice.
