Same here. She was all kinda nice, then slammed the phone down when I said I don't have credit cards

Listen to what Laura said.  If you don't know the number, don't answer it.  If it's important, they'll leave a message.  Then I will do an internet search.  If it's a good #, I can white-list on my phone.  If it's not, I can add to my black-list or auto-reject pile....
