Another spoofed caller ID. I don't answer calls from unrecognized, blocked or private numbers unless I'm drunk or high, so let the voicemail pick up. This one left a message. Claiming to be ADT Security (This seems to be the latest scam du'jour) saying that based on the area in which I lived & the services I already received, I am eligible to upgrade my home security system. Wow! What's scary is my roommate DID install a security system a few years back, BEFORE I moved in. Not thru ADT, tho. Plus all of that is in her name, so how they knew I had a security system beats me unless it's just a scammer who lucked in to reaching someone who really does have a system.
Not that this idiot is really selling security systems, tho. What they ARE selling is a spiel to scam people out if their money. They steal the phone #s of actual companies providing the "service" they're offering then spoof the caller ID so that the intended victims call the number on the caller ID back to verify it is a legitimate company.
