I posted an ad seeking a job on Craigslist because that's how I got my first job that lasted 4 years. I did get mostly spam, but I didn't get any responses from the other major sites. I get a ton of "Unknown Caller," so I don't answer my phone. However, I want to report some text messages soliciting me to post ads on Craigslist. Many frauds of this nature is taking place. The messages typically reads like this: "Are you still looking for a job?" or "Hello!" or "I got your number on Craigslist regarding your post." If you reply, they tend to tell you their first name, age, position, payment ($350-$400), type (not just the usual Western Union, all kinds), the name of a real/popular company, call a number that is not the company's number or theirs if you ask, and urge you to ACT NOW. As soon as I get something suspicious, I say, "I guess it wouldn't matter to you if someone shoves this info on your mother or someone else you love. Right? Scammer, do not contact me. I will report you." Surprisingly, none of them challenge me. They simply don't respond or probably attempt to trick me by using another number to see if I'd give in. Oh, yes! Either one person has many numbers, or it's a rink of stinkers because the messages are duplicates or pretty similar. Tread carefully because their are legitimate businesses (Brand Ambassador/Promoter recruiters) who choose to conduct business using text messaging.
