I too received a call from this number and got the same message about being a newspaper service. they tell you to leave a name and number and a representative will call you back. Obviously, it's not a good idea to leave your info. I went to whitepages.com and punched in the number and it says the call originated from Akron, Ohio, however, I live in the Cleveland area and I know that Akron is 330 area code. Very strange to say the least.
i got a phone call rom this number just as I was leaving work. I didn't recognize it, although it came up as the city and state that I live in, the area code does ot match.

The 234 area code started a few years ago down in the Akron area and even up into Stow & Streetsboro area as well. A lot of people still don't know about it though, it is becoming a lot more often.
I think I was able to catch one of these calls awhile ago, but I've gotten a couple again recently, and I want to say it was regarding the Beacon Journal. I don't think it's actually the Beacon but another company working for them & calling to have people increase their subscription or something like that.
