I received three calls from this number stating i will have serve 120 days in the Cook County Jail if I do not pay $1,100.00's because I didn't pay a business called LLC. They asked if I received my warrant from the State which was sent out 10 days ago. The female had all my personal info but wasnt sure of my age, she slipped and gave another birth date which was not mine then changed it quickly. One of the females was names Nancy and the other was named Crystal.
I received the same call today from 2345426721. Rachel King answered and said that they were a mediation company to help me resolve an issue I had pending in their office. They said I had an open case with the DA and that I should've received a letter 10 days ago asking me to turn myself in to serve a 120 days sentence in jail for an unpaid bounced check from 2011. I told the lady I had an attorney, but she said it was too late, if I didn't pay restitution the warrant would be issues. She said that her response would be sent to the DA to make a decision today on my case.
She also said that the only help they could give me was to negotiate a settlement with the victim on the restitution fee of $1123.84. She said the money was owed from an online cash advance I had taken and that one of my checks to repay the loan had bounced.
I explained that the only time I borrowed money online was over a decade ago in my early 20's and that I had documentation to proof it was paid in full. I also explained that I haven't used checks other than to pay my mortgage in the last 8 years, so a bounced check from me from 4 years ago is nearly impossible. She said look up your documentation and call me back. In the mean time she would try to identify the minimum dollar amount that her victim would take.
I called them back after doing some research. When I told them that I had called the court house and found out that I have no prior or current violations, the man on the phone started to get angry. They couldn't provide the name or phone number of the company I supposedly owed $ to. They also couldn't tell me how much money I owed or the case # with the DA. After I said I wouldn't pay a penny without more information the guy hung up on me. I called back and they hung up on me again.
