I got a text too. "Hi M.." I asked who it was since the person knew my name but I never got a response. Creepy! I just used Google phone feature and called the number, then the recorded message said that I called someone's textPlus text number. Someone must have got the number from http://www.textplus.com/ and is texting but it's still creepy because he or she knows my name (and it's foreign) and I'm not the only one who's getting the prank text from this number.
It's a textPlus (http://www.textplus.com/) text number. I received a text saying hi to me and the person knew my name but when I asked who it was, I never received a response.
Got a text from this number, saying "Hello David?" I replied, asking who it was, and got no response. Maybe I shouldn't have done that, but I don't know what else they could have learned about me just from my reply. If this is a scam, I don't understand how it's supposed to work. If it's not a scam, I apologize to my friend for putting your number on here. But it probably is a scam, since I don't know anyone from Akron.
