Sometimes the calls come in using the prefix 234 before the number 802 929 3944
Can you please help. Where is this call being placed from. How can they call using 234 802 929 3944 one time and a second time call using only 802 929 3944?
I answered a couple of times because I thought it was a friend calling me. Then I started checking first and if this number didn't answer.
Please help is this a scam number, is this a real phone number. Is it initiated in the U.S., is it an international number? It is very odd and worries me.
I don't know where such a long number comes from. It certainly isn't in the UK numbering scheme. Are you in the USA, Ruth? If so, (according to BT)"234" would be the international code for Nigeria and "80" is the code for their mobile numbers. Unfortunately Nigeria is well-known for scammers, both on the telephone and on e-mail, so be careful.
