Received a text in response to a Craigs List listing. Body of an email I received after responding by email to an email address of [email protected].
This is the email:
"Thanks for the prompt response to text. I will be  buying this from you,  kindly withdraw the advert from C.LIST and considered it sold. My wife will be overnight the payment asap but she will be paying with a certified check from her Bank and it will  deliver to you via United Parcel Service (UPS), so  I'll need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check... And am offering additional $50 with the original price to have this asap.

The extra info was a clue that something was not right. In addition, in the text, the respondent offered an extra $50 over the asking price of the item and asked nothing about the item itself.
