I got numerous calls from this person claiming that i won 6,000,000 US and to send 6000 TT Via, Fed ex to receive my winnings, the person has a very heavy deep throated Nigerian accent, and speaks very slow, what do they think, that we the people of the carribean are stupid, we cant smell a scam. the person states that he is doing this on behalf of Nokia and our number was picked at random.
I got a call from this number this morning. The person had a very forced African sounding accent and was speaking very slowly. I am assuming that the caller was male. He is allegedly calling from Nokia (which he pronounced Nawkya) in the UK and told me that my number was randomly selected as the winner of $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars) in an ongoing Nokia promotion... we guess what... I did not wait to find out what else he wanted... I hung up!
I saw a missed call on my cell. These people have been calling at 0130hrs (1:30am) EST when I am asleep. I've never spoken to any of them and they do not leave a message. My location is Southern Caribbean and I've heard of people actually being SCAMMED by these calls, claiming you've won money - so send money to claim the winnings - along with your personal details such as bank information.
There Government needs to shut them down and te\he telephone company needs to take action as well. I just what them to stop calling Me!!!
This morning prior to writitng this report, I tried calling them but my phone did not connect at all. So, the company's name is unknown to me.
