Trying to confirm that this is a real number for a potential landlord, rather than a scam.

"Husband is in Nigeria and wife is in Australia."

This is a scam... posted on Craigslist.  A similar message is listed with a similar phone # in Oregon.

My wife and I own the one bedroom apartment you are interested, it is well furnished and I would like you to contact my wife in australia via [email protected] for more information. She will be able to attend to you better and faster for more information because I am on missionary work in africa. Our apartment is a month to month lease and you can stay for as long as you want but I will come every three months to inspect, I hope that is okay. $670 monthly rent covers all utilities plus $300 security deposit and there is also a storage room to keep our stuffs if you do not need them or if you want to put your stuffs in there instead. There is no pet deposit as long there won't be any littering or clawing of our apartment. We are not after the money which is why the rent is low, all We really want someone clean and responsible so I will solicit for your absolute maintenance of my apartment and I want you to treat it as your own. I want you to keep it tidy as often as you can. I have attached pictures as well.

The address is 106 Caines Street, Seward AK 99664. We couldn't find anyone locally give the keys so I want you to understand that my wife will have to mail the keys and documents to you through FedEx if your application is approved and I hope you do not smoke, I also hope you are clean and responsible.

I was looking for an apartment in Sunnyvale California and had brief email exchange with this couple.
I am getting suspicious about the post...

Our apartment will be available for as long as you are willing to rent and it is well furnished.  I had an accident few months ago which affected my hearing and left me on a wheel chair but I am scheduled for surgery in australia so I am in our other home waiting. We want a responsible and respectful person who does not smoke and we are both glad that your son fits the description, kindly let me know as soon as possible because we need someone who is reliable to occupy it. I have attached pictures as well. Our apartment has the following features below:

* Central heating.
* Large dining room and living room with flat screen TV and surround system.
* Large medium-firm mattress with two soft pillows.
* Washer/Dryer
* Kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge and electric kettle.
* Bathroom.
* New washer and dryer.
* Internet.
* Garage parking.

Write back so that I can send you the rent application, I will send the keys and documents  to you via FedEx and you will receive on next day delivery after payment of the number of monthly rent plus security deposit you are okay with would have been confirmed by my husband via western union. Also, my husband will come every three months to check on how you are taking care of our apartment.
