I just received, unasked, a replacement majicjack that works without a computer into a router. My old one which hasn't expired only works with the computer. I haven't registered the new one yet, or paid for it, as I can't figure out how to switch subscription from the old one that hasn't run out to the new one which is a better product
So, long story short, this number is a Majicjack number. I can call long distance with it, free but no-one can call me back on it which is half the advantage of using Majicjack in the first place. Until I re-register this new one on the internet with the Company and pay for it, or have them switch my credit over from the old one, I guess I can phone l.d. free. When you pay you are given your own personal number in any State you choose. My old one is California. I love it. I can get missed phone messages which are emailed to my computer within seconds and can listen on my laptop to whatever the person said and call them back.
My friend is calling me from his work location in Capt Town,South Africa using this Magic Jack number via his computer. He is working there on a site to be completed in another week. When I do call him and he misses the call, he calls me back even with a 6 hour difference. So everyone should calm down, if you don't recognize the or any number, don't answer it, its that simple.
Please stop this madness. I looked in Florida white pages and this number seems to belong to: Ymax Communications Corp . This company is in fact Magic Jack, a device that allows you to make phone calls from your computer.
This being said, it it's still harassment!

this number keeps calling me everyday, at anytime of the day and night. This is really annoying.This is a form of harassment.
Why magic jack doesn't do anything about it
Are you sure you have the right number? The magic jack number 1-239-205-4843 belongs to me and I have not been calling anyone. I call the 239....# from by land line and it goes to my iphone which is what I have the magic jack number on. Don't understand how you can be receiving calls from this number. Wondering if I should request an alternate number???
