I get these types of calls all the time but I never answer. If it's legit & important, they will leave a message. If not...well you know. I get calls from early in the am, between 5am-9am then in the afternoon and then later on in the evening...sometimes as late as 9pm! How can we stop these harassing and annoying calls?!
I got a call (on my Land line) from this guy with Indian accent. He said he was calling from Microsoft and they sent a Security update and If I received it. I said my computer is off at the moment. He asked me to turn on my PC. I asked if any fee and he said it's free. It would take only few seconds to check if the update has been applied. I said I don't have time.
Well, I'm a computer literate for some 30 years. I knew he was a scam all along.
He will call me back on Monday. But I'm not going to turn my computer on for him. I'll tell him where to go.
Holly: I did get scammed by these [***] because I did not know better. Now I have my geek buddy's number to call. I had to get him to clean it up for being stupid. SUPER SCAM!
Still receiving calls from this number & I refuse to answer. No message left so doesn't that say something about the legitimacy of the calling party? I do have block call access, but have to add each number in as it comes in. Calls from all sorts of different numbers pop up on my cell & that drives me crazy.
