Received a call with a recording from the IRS asking to call # 239.257.4345 for details. When I called, I spoke with a person who didn't speak english well (heavy middle eastern accent). when I asked for his credentials, he got upset, gave me his first and last name (which I couldn't understand) and a badge ID. When I asked him how can i verify his information, he directed me to www.irs.gov and then he hung up the phone.
I called back and sounded like the same person (at least the same accent) and he began saying lewd comments and profanity.
Caller ID says James Strong. Claims to be from the IRS mentioning a case number without mentioning the actual case number. The IRS does not call people on the phone it is a scam. They only send letters.
