i got a 2 missed call from this number..i wanted to check it out and i came through this site..now i know it's a prank call..i thought it's a job for me overseas..though im already here in dubai..lol
i've been getting calls from this number and other numbers from the same region.same as Lex above, once I pick up, the caller hangs us and when i call back, it's some woman speaking in an undertone (vaguely recognise language as English, but unsure).
Got my phone bill....yes, it's Sao Tome & Principe, and I was charged $2 for 35 seconds. Tel co immediately waived the charge when I explained what happened.
im here in dubai...and...got a call from this number also...+239280594...I guess, whats best for all of us is not to answer any unknown calls...How can they know our numbers????
I've been getting the calls for 2-3 months, 2-3 times a week. A recording of a woman speaking broken English (something like "hello, how are you?") in a playful voice and cutting off. They probably count on men to call back :-). The best advise is to ignore and report to the Telecom company, but they might start calling from other similar numbers too (+239280595 or +239280593)
