I have been getting calls on my cell phone from same number and I never answer and a message is never left on my voice mail. I also called the number with a recording stating it is a non working number as well. Block this number!!! Also found this number is a computer service business out of Florida.
Modern technology has given telespammers the tools to call you.
Lawbreaking telescammers ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocking device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.
Google "call blocker" for more information. There are available apps (some free) for smart phones, and services and devices for landlines.
If you cannot use or afford such a tool, then:
• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service. Telespammers usually hang up after 3 or 4 rings.
• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete. If the incoming call was important, they would have left a message!
• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group. (This also works for smartphones). The spammer will usually hang up before the phone goes to voicemail.
• Another option, for cell phones: Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers. That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact! You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number! (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers).

I missed a call from this number this morning, and called it back just a few minutes later, and there was an automated message saying that I had reached a non-working number. The caller called me back a second time, and I answered just to see who it was. This guy with an Indian accent launched into this pitch about how he was calling customers to let them know about promotional offers...blah, blah, blah. I let him finish what he was saying, and during his whole speech i don't recall him stating his name or what company he was representing. I simply told him that I was not interested, and that my name was on the Do Not Call List, and I did not wish to be contacted again. There was just a long pause before I finally hung up. Another one on my blocked list.
Received call from 239-283-1475 saying it was a Florida call at 5:53 PM on 3/13. I answered as I have family in Florida along with high school classmates since lived there for 20 years. No one responded when I said Hello, then finally a man with a heavy Indian accent came on the line. He asked for my daughter. I told him she was sleeping as she had to drive that night. Don't recall what else he said, but the jest of the conversation was for Direct TV. I told him I had Dish Network and was not interested. Also why would I buy something from someone in Florida when I live in Indiana - not a wise thing as we have Direct TV dealers locally.
