It is a scam racket with people from India running it. They say they are from various computer companies like Microsoft, etc. And want to operate your computer remotely. They try to scam you, using a little known, common setting in the 'Event Viewer' portion of your system. They try to convince you what you see there is bad, a virus and to pay them 200 dollars to fix it. Then if you refuse, they call every day and say, they are calling about that payment or refund you need on your service, even tho you never made any payments to them. They hang up if you insist you never made any payments and need no refund. Report them to BBB!
I have gotten three calls, twice messages were left from "Mr. Frank Wallace" of the publishers clearinghouse that I have won a prize. Each message described a different prize.
