I also recieved a "parcel pick-up" notification. It stated I had an android 4.0 touchpad waiting to be picked up with the added bonus of a $100 resteraunt.com gift card. Wow! I didn't pick it up ( :
got the same call that I would get a free touch pad plus a 100.00 gift card for any resterant. This is from direct buy what they don't tell you is first this is free for just showing up. but the catch is if youi join this cliub direct buy it will cost you a 1,500 membership each year to get items for a cheaper price. how do they figure that out, mind you they want you to pay them 1,500 each year. they claim there is no middle man when you buy merchandise through them. they have got to be kidding. another bunch of crooks..only in America..

No, a promotion is when customers are offered great sale pricing to come in and purchase something. Making up stuff and underlining the words, "no charge" and stating directly I will get an "Android Touchpad Tablet computer" is called LYING! And to make it even worse, the "small print" you refer to is found on the back side of the "Authentic Gift Delivery Notification," at the bottom AND in that print, it actually negates the offer they addressed in the letter on the front side in readable-sized print. I am telling everyone I know how big of a scam DirectBuy is and, you know what? Half of them already know it. They should be arrested for this type of scam and I am going to the Postal Inspection website right now to see if I can report it. There are major differences between lies and scams and a legitimate business promotion. And to others who may be reading my comments here: please follow through with steps to report DirectBuy to the proper authorities if you received one of these scams by text or e-mail.
