Awwww....so THAT is how they get our names. I was given a chance for a $1,000 gift card from Wal-mart if I took a survey on their website. I accidentally clicked on the wrong site and did not realize that the site was not affiliated with Wal-mart but something else. I filled out the information than waited for the usual survey questions and it just said "thank you for entering" and I was going to get a $100 gift card. I then went in to the real Wal-mart.com site and took their usual survey. Now I find out I get a phone call on my CELL phone that belongs to this company from Florida! Never heard of them before. Makes me not want to fill out any information on any site for fear that I will be charged for something I did not want, etc. It's getting out of hand.
Same thing just happened to me. I am so mad!! I have taken Wal-mart's surveys before and I was never asked to enter any personal information...just to fill out the survey questions regarding my visit. I a going to have to contact my cell phone company and alert them so I won't be charged for these calls.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THERE COMPANY DO NOT CALL LIST JUST ASK. IT MAY TAKE 24-48 HOURS TO BE TAKEN OFF ALL LISTS PROVIDED. YOU CAN ALSO CALL THERE 800-637-6959 CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND JUST ASK AND THE WILL DO IT FOR YOU. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILE A COMPLAINT TO BE TAKEN OFF YOU JUST NEED TO ASK. THEY HAVE A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT THAT IS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT. AS I SAID YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK, AND ALLOW PROPER TIME. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TELEMARKETERS CALLING THEN YOU SHOULDNT PUT YOUR NUMBER OUT ON THE INTERNET. YOU CAN ALSO HAVE YOU PHONE COMPANY PUT A TELEMARKTOR BLOCK ON YOUR PHONES. IF YOU CALL THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT THEY WILL DO WHAT YOU ASK. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT MEAN ITS THERE JOB. AND IN AN ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS THEY SHOULD BE THANKFUL THEY HAVE ONE BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO BE SO RUDE TO THEM.
