Wow!  This is crazy!  So the guy is going by the name David Hooper now.  His number is 510-606-7616 now!  I emailed about a house in Jackson Hole, Wy with the exact same description as all the other previous comments on Craigslist.  He used the same description, same price, same security deposit, same everything to a T!!  I emailed him and he responded the same as all of the above!  I decided to call the phone number, just out of curiosity I guess!  The guy could barely talk english, and refused to talk to me on the phone.  He said he would email me.  I got nervous, so I googled his phone number.  Thank God!!

(Santa Monica). He is using phone number (510) 606-7616 (San Francisco East Bay phone number). He says he lives in Santa Monica.

I was just about to submit my PayPal payment when something didin't settle correctly. So, I researched his email addy ([email protected]) and this site popped up. I reported him to the FBI by filing an IC complaint. If you have a chance, do so, too. The website is:

Let's get these people off of the internet so us regular people can use it safely and for what it is intended.

He actually got me - I didn't see these posts first - for a rental in Park City in March. Paid via PayPal. He even offered to pick me up from airport. Flew out there only to discover my friends and I had no place to stay. He was using James Butler ([email protected]) and the same phone number: 239-690-6579. Glad people are learning from my mistake.
