This call is fraud I am a Police Officer and have reported them to all avenues. When I call back it is simply constantly busy. Block them if you can. Report them too.
Called my phone, answered, click. I don't see the purpose of what they are doing if they just call and hang up. Unless they are trying to do this to see if someone answers, so that they can sell the number to other companies trying to scam us.
We are keeping a log of these irritating robo calls. Calls to our cells, calls to our home, calls to our business lines. The list just arrived at number 1,000 over the weekend. A thousand junk calls starting back in the Fall of 2015. So this call to my cell this afternoon was really not a surprise. We don't answer calls that we can't identify. If it's important, the caller will find a way to get hold of us. I hope the whole world learns not to answer. then maybe we will be done with this plague.
Called. Didn't answer. No voicemail left. But thanks to some of the above posters for making me smile & forget the irritation. I've considered getting a 900 number & waiving the fee for legit callers.

Like the OP, I also keep a log of this type of call. It currently has 1,024 numbers, listed numerically by AREA CODE - STATE, with the ID info, desc. I learned from here, line call came in on & date blocked.
Unfortunately, I can only block 250 calls, so periodically have to unblock the oldest. I make a note of date the number was unblocked. If calls start coming in again from an unblocked number, I reblock it and make a note of the date.
