I was informed by the cockroach, in barely passable English, that the local police department would be at my home in 30 minutes to "get me arrested for tax evasion." She pretended to be an officer with "the investigatory service of the Internal Revenue Service." When I tried to inquire, what was the meaning of all of this, I was told that the call and all of my responses were being recorded and shared with the Depatment of Homeland Security, and that I was legally required to truthfully and completely answer all of her questions. Utterly ridiculous. I immediately reported the incident and shared all information and phone numbers with my local police department, the Office of the Attorney General of my state, the ~actual~ IRS and TIGTA, as well as federal law enforcement. I want to see these cockroaches get nailed again, just like they were a few months ago, both here in the U.S., and another clean-sweep of the dozen or so fraudulent calls centers involved in India.
What really angers me, is the gall of these cockroaches! Who in the Hell do they think they are to pull this scam here in the U.S.?! That, and the fact that I read a report about an elderly person here in the U.S. was so frightened and distressed by the call they received by these roaches, that they actually suffered a stroke. That's murder! Time to nail some more cockroaches.
